About Chiltern Counselling

Chiltern Counselling is a non-profit making Charitable Company situated in Chesham, that has served the Chiltern district of Buckinghamshire and adjacent area of South West Hertfordshire as a counselling agency since the early 1980s.  Some clients come from further afield.

The local head of Haleacre psychiatric unit at the time, Dr Bob Fieldsend together with others who were concerned that the emotional and mental well-being of people was being insufficiently met, succeeded in getting the service up and running.  The aim was to provide an accessible, affordable counselling service in a safe, professional and confidential setting.  This remains the prime aim of the service.
